  1. Sessions will be run roughly every 4-6 weeks, on Saturdays, and run from 11 am until ~3 or 4 pm. We will most likely never run past 4:15; 4:30 being an absolutely firm hard stop (and only if the constrained players are available to keep going)
  2. If more than one player cannot attend, session will be cancelled.
  3. Maximum number of PCs in this campaign will be 6.
  4. NO GIMMICKY CHARACTERS. I am interested in running the game with PCs who are invested and “real”. This means that unless there is a substantial and substantive story element, no goofball shit. We can make this fun, have some laughs, and enjoy playing it through.
  5. My commitment to you is that I’m not going to railroad you into the story. But I ask that your commitment be that you will neither attempt to derail nor monopolize it.
  6. Overarching story and character evolution/story are foundations of my games. This campaign will be faced with being FUN by being funny, sad, tragic, hopeful at various times.
  7. Every character deserves and will get the opportunity to shine. This means not just me as the arbiter of who speaks and when, but also asking my players to be mindful of others so that they get the chance to speak/act/interact.
  8. Virtual sessions, if applicable, will run in Foundry VTT and on Discord. In person sessions are run at my house.
  9. Depending on comfort levels, we MAY stream or record our sessions for airing on Twitch and on Youtube. I recognize that you may not want your actual image on these platforms, and respect that, so we will use character images if/when we go down that route unless a player wants to appear.
  10. Character Creation:
    1. Players have the choice of using the Standard Matrix in Df&D Beyond OR rolling their stats as follows: Roll 4d6, dropping the lowest and rerolling 1s, a total of 7 times, then dropping the lowest dice roll.
    2. All characters will start the game at 1st level. New or replacement characters that join later will join at the Average Party Level of the group
    3. All players will be equipped with the standard starting equipment PLUS a set of free cold weather clothing.
    4. Backstories do not have to be detailed and immersive, but are a requirement. They can simply be bullet points that cover the following:
      1. What brings or brought you to north of the Spine of the World?
      2. What do you seek most for your character?
      3. What was your character like before we started? Were you a criminal? A noble? A merchant? A pauper?
      4. What family and friends might you have, here or left behind?
    5. Character races and classes must be sourced from D&D Beyond
